Aluminum Metal matrix composites

This research aims to produce aluminium matrix composites of light weight and improved mechanical properties by WAAM. Prior to this a suitable WAAM process will have to be identified. This will be considered when building topology optimised structures of the different materials such that the process can be switched on and off at short processing lengths.
