Multi-dimensional rolling

A multi-dimensional deposition and rolling system has been developed to enable the production of large aerospace parts with the desired mechanical properties. Software is being developed by Delcam which will ultimately facilitate the generation of a robot program that converts the CAD geometry into a part. This will automate both the deposition and rolling processes. Metrology equipment from the University of Bath will allow measurement of the shape, temperature, process parameters and oxygen levels within the deposition chamber.
