Paul Poulain
Paul started a dual degree PhD between Cranfield University and The University of Technology of Compiegne (UTC) in France in early 2022. Paul’s main frame research is to establish a characterisation of Cold Work Wire + Arc Additive Manufacturing using cold/hot rolling process on steel allow. Thus, he joined the NEWAM project. His master thesis's title is High build rate WAAM process with inter-pass hot-work to produce steel with high mechanical properties. Paul graduated as an engineer from the University of Technology of Compiegne with a specialization in materials and technological innovation. He previously did a characterisation research work on Titanium alloy at the University of Kagawa (Japan). This PhD is a new challenge and is an opportunity to access research world at international level.
