Xian Dai

Xian started his PhD at the Welding and Additive Manufacturing Centre, Cranfield University, in January 2023. His current research focuses in the area of Wire Additive manufacturing of aluminium alloys. Prior to this, he was involved in the forging of nickel-based superalloys for the aerospace field and also conducted research on radiation-resistant nuclear materials for a period of time. Due to his interest in the field of Additive Manufacturing, Xian decided to focus his doctoral studies on the Wire Additive Manufacturing technology and expand his research in that area further.
